![]() ![]() He's been very nice on the phone and in emails, and everyone gets behind and makes promises they can't keep sometimes. I'm not going to complain or badmouth Matt. I don't mind waiting for it, as long as I know at the time of purchase, or shortly afterward. He said mine was scheduled to be cut today and hopefully would ship tomorrow. What really sucks is that I wanted to get stocks from Ironwood to go on my SAR1 and Draco. Or until I learn how to make my own stock for it. Guess I'll have to put the NHM back in the safe for another 10 years until I can find someone who wants to sell a stock to fit it. I'm concerned that it may never arrive, and he's hard to reach on the phone. These stock sets are made on CNC equipment, not hand carved. Matt has been a very nice guy every time I've spoken to him on the phone, but I'm beginning to lose faith. Had I known it would take this long, I would have ordered walnut or maple. ![]() I ordered mine in laminate, because that's what they usually have pre made in stock. ![]() They got my money but I haven't received my stock. Now it's the 12th of June and it hasn't arrived and I haven't received a tracking number or anything. I finally got in touch with Matt on June 2nd and it was supposed to ship out on the 3rd or 4th. Then they were closed for about a week around Memorial Day. It was supposed to have shipped out the Friday of the week I ordered it and it didn't. I ordered it on May 14th of this year and haven't received it yet. If I ever receive my Ironwood Designs stock set for mine, I'll let you know how I like it. I'm guessing it was molded from a ChiCom stock since it had a length of pull for a midget.Ĭheesy, but it looked better at a distance than the thumb hole. The NHM-91 came with a REALLY funky looking thumbhole stock that I changed out for a Hesse RPK stock set that was basically reverse-engineered (like every thing else they did) –– in black plastic made from a mold of a ChiCom RPK stock. That was back when you could buy a SKS for $59.95. I got mine about the same time for about the same price –– dirt cheap compared to today. Now, I'm very glad I got it instad of a MAK, since they're less common. I was looking for a MAK90 but all RPD had in stock were the NHMs. It was the only time I had off to go gun shopping due to working 12 hrs a day 6 days a week and 10 hrs on Sundays), 1995 and paid the princely sum of $214.00 brand new. I bought mine on MLK day (I was off work for the holiday. If you don't mind my asking, when did you buy your NHM and how much did it set you back. I'm awaiting the arrival of my laminated clubfoot RPK stock set for my NHM91. Ironwood designs dot com is where you'll want to go to see their stocks. Ironwood Designs makes an RPK clubfoot stock for the NHM91 in a few different woods, including walnut, rock maple, birch, beech, and laminated birch. ![]()
